Pelonis Electric 1500W Oil-Filled Radiator Heater
I much prefer the peace and quiet of an oil-filled electric heater over a noisy ceramic or infrared heater while I’m reading in our bedroom and want supplemental heat. There are some light popping noises as the heating elements bring the oil up to temperature, but it’s completely quiet after that since there are no fans or other moving parts. Oil-filled heaters do take longer to heat up the room than fan heaters, but I find the heat to be more gentler and longer lasting.
The 10-hour timer is convenient for when you want to take the edge off the room as you fall asleep but still desire the peace of mind that the heater will shut off automatically. It is well-documented that humans sleep better in cooler temperatures, but it’s still nice to be more comfortable as you fall asleep. You can turn it on and off and adjust
This unit features over-heat protection and a tip-over safety switch. When I tested our heater by tilting it on its side, it turned off before it even touched the ground. I am impressed by how sturdy this heater is on its casters, which rotate 360 degrees.
I like to sleep in as much darkness as possible. The red LCDs in the backlit panel display give off a negligible amount of light that really doesn’t bother me. It’s much less distracting than an infrared heater, which is almost like having a low-wattage light on in the corner of the room.
Electric heaters are safe if you use common sense, like monitoring young children and keeping the heater far away from flammable objects. When fires and accidents occur, it is almost always due to gross negligence or lack of responsible supervision. The Pelonis Electric 1500W Oil-Filled Radiator Heater is the solution for making a medium-to large size room a little cozier on a cold day without cranking up the whole-house heat.
